The director behind The Spy Kids franchise, The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl, recently directed Alita: Battle Angel is expected to return for the sequel. Rodriguez also directed movies such as Sin City and Sin City: A Dame to Kill for.
Along with the news of a sequel, the streamer also gave its holiday viewership numbers. According to the streamer, their viewership is based on just two minutes of viewing time by a subscriber. During Christmas week, Dec. 25 to Dec. 31 in 2020 was the biggest on record for the same week, which is measured by the total of view hours and average view hour per subscriber.
The superhero movies follow whip-smart tween Missy Moreno (YaYa Gosselin), who is eager to save her super-powered father, Marcus Moreno (Pedro Pascal), and the rest of the Earth’s adult superheroes who have also been abducted by aliens. To save the day, she and the super-powered children would have to work together to use their unique abilities to break out of their government safe house run by a mysterious Ms. Granada (Priyanka Chopra Jonas).
