‘Walk of Shame’ Starring Elizabeth Banks Releases Trailer

Elizabeth Banks Sets to Do the ‘Walk of Shame’

The trailer for the new comedy Walk of Shame starring Elizabeth Banks was released today.  The films features Banks as Meghan Miles, a Los Angeles reporter who after a hard night of partying and a one night stand finds herself on the cusp of a huge career opportunity…until her car is towed, and along with it her phone, ID, and money.  She is forced to trudge through Downtown Los Angeles order to follow her dreams of becoming a news anchorwoman, in a revealing yellow dress no less.

The film appears to serve mainly as a one woman showcase for the comic talents of Banks, who lately has been a reliable supporting player in films as varied as The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Pitch Perfect and The Hunger Games films as well as a long standing arc on the now completed television series 30 Rock, for which she received two Emmy nominations.  Walk of Shame co-stars James Marsden, who was most recently seen in theaters in Anchorman 2 and is a part of SAG-nominated ensemble cast of Lee Daniels’ The Butler, Gillian Jacobs (or TV’s cult hit Community) and Ethan Suplee (The Wolf of Wall Street.)

Steven Brill wrote and directed the film that Focus World will release this spring.  Brill, known primarily for his work on the Adam Sandler vehicles Little Nicky and Mr. Deeds, also directed the comedies Without a Paddle and Drillbit Taylor; he also wrote the screenplay to the Disney ’90s hit The Mighty Ducks.  Walk of Shame opens in theaters on April, 25th.
