Tom Cruise Unveils ‘Mission: Impossible 7’ Title at CinemaCon

In a presentation for Paramount Pictures in Las Vegas, Tom Cruise has announced the title for his upcoming film: Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning: Part 1. The news was presented during the studio’s CinemaCon presentation at the Colosseum theater at Caesars Palace. Before announcing the title, Paramount’s chief Brian Robbins told audience members that Cruise was “the hardest working and most daring performer in Hollywood.”

Cruise could not be at the event in person due to filming, but he delivered his message to keep up with his CinemaCon history.

In true Tom Cruise form, he delivered his video message by standing on his seat in an antique red plane that was flying high above a canyon in South Africa. “Hey everyone,” Cruise said, “wish I could be there with you. I’m sorry for the extra noise. As you can see, we are filming the latest installment of Mission: Impossible.”

Before cutting off, Cruise introduced a look at the film’s trailer and another trailer for his highly anticipated film Top Gun: Maverick.

This next Mission: Impossible is set to be released on July 14, 2023, with part two coming out on June 28, 2024 – the latter being allegedly the final installment of the series.

The film has Hayley Atwell, Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Henry Czerny, Simon Pegg, Vanessa Kirby, Angela Bassett, Cary Elwes, Indira Varma, Rob Delaney, and Charles Parnell.

Today’s Paramount presentation was on the final day of CinemaCon, which is hosted by the National Association of Theatre Owners. This year was particularly important for exhibitors as they tried to come back from the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.
