Scott Eastwood Joins Action-Thriller ‘Dangerous’ with Mel Gibson in Supporting Role

Scott Westwood (Suicide Squad) to star in the lead role on upcoming action-thriller Dangerous. Starring alongside Tyrese Gibson (Fast and the Furious), Kevin Durand (X-Men Origins: Wolverine), and Famke Janssen (When They See Us) with Mel Gibson in a key supporting role. The director of Saw V, David Hackl, will direct the newly announced film.

Dangerous will follow Eastwood, a reformed sociopath who, after his brother’s murder, moves to a remote place that eventually comes under the attack of a dangerous group of mercenaries. Forced to defend himself, he learns of their involvement in his brother’s death and begins an unwavering search for revenge.

The film is to be produced by Kevin DeWalt and Ben DeWalt for Minds Eye Entertainment and Doug Falconer for Falconer Pictures, with Michael Benaroya as executive producer for his Benaroya Pictures and Todd Shepherd as executive producer for Miscellaneous Entertainment. The International Film Trust (IFT), Invico Capital, and 3 Point Capital will finance IFT’s worldwide sales minus Canada and Minds Eye International selling Canada and co-repping the US with IFT.

“IFT is pleased to present Dangerous to buyers at AFM. As an action film with a superb cast and strong producers, this is the type of package that distributors are seeking,” said Benaroya.

Scott Eastwood’s latest film, Wrath of Man, is in its post-production phase and released on January 15, 2021.
