Max Greenfield, Marisol Nichols, and Betsy Brandt Joins Lionsgate English-Language Remake of French Hit ‘The Valet’

Lionsgate English-language remake of romantic comedy The Valet that Richard Wong (Come As You Are) is directing will star Max Greenfield (The Neighborhood, New Girl), Marisol Nichols (Riverdale), Betsy Brandt (Breaking Bad), and legendary Mexican film and TV icon Carmen Salinas with already announced stars Eugenio Derbez (Dora and the Lost City of Gold) and Samara Weaving (Ready or Not).

Rob Greenberg and Bob Fisher wrote the screenplay. It follows Olivia (Weaving), a movie star who hires Antonio (Derbez), a parking valet, to pose as her lover to conceal a relationship with a married man. Antonio, a hardworking valet, typically goes unnoticed, but his ruse with Olivia thrusts him into the spotlight and forces him to see himself more clearly than he ever had before.

Derbez is producing the film with his producing partner Ben Odell under their banner 3Pas Studios.

“Production has begun, and we couldn’t be more excited about the way this cast came together or this story,” said Derbez. “This is a romantic comedy with heart and soul starring some of today’s most talented young actors sharing the screen with a living legend of Mexican cinema.”

Greenfield will play the charming and handsome business mogul Vincent Royce. Nichols will play Antonio’s ex Isabel whom he still pines. Brandt will play Vincent’s wife, Kathryn Royce.

I want to write something outside the normal, something no one would think to write about in a unique way. It also shows how far I am willing to go to produce something amazing that will get more readers interested in the world of Journalism. I am on my way to making a professional life for myself.
