Julia Roberts and Jacob Tremblay Tug at the Heart in First Trailer for ‘Wonder’

Lionsgate has unveiled the first trailer for Wonder, new film based on the New York Times best-selling novel by R.J. Palacio. Directed by Stephen Chbosky (The Perks of Being a Wallflower) and starring Oscar winner Julia Roberts and Jacob Tremblay (a breakout from the Oscar-winning art house hit Room), Wonder tells the heartwarming story of August Pullman.

Auggie is a fifth grader who was born with facial differences. As he enters the fifth grade, he faces his most difficult challenge: attempting to blend in as he enrolls in a mainstream school for the first time. Roberts and Owen Wilson (Marley & Me) play Mom and Dad. The ensemble cast includes Mandy Patinkin (Homeland), Sonia Braga (Aquarius) and Daveed Diggs (Tony winner for the smash Broadway musical Hamilton). Steve Conrad penned the screenplay.
