‘Indiana Jones 5’ title revealed and new trailer featuring de-aged Harrison Ford

Earlier this year a new Indiana Jones film starring Harrison Ford was announced. The feature would be the 5th one from the franchise coming 15 years after the last sequel’s premiere. The film is being produced by Disney and Lucasfilm and today its first trailer was released along with the official title of the film: Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.

In the generous 1:43 minutes trailer we can have a first glimpse of Harrison Ford in his legendary role as the adventurous archaeologist . Though the plot is not disclosed yet, the trailer features action-packed sequences proper to the saga. We can see Ford  with his current appearance being 80 years old and de-aged as the Indy we can remember from the first films. This gives us a clue about the plot mixing past and present.

Ford has indicated that this will be his last time performing as Jones- “This is it…I will not fall down for you again” – he stated, after referring to his emotions towards this new Film:

“Indiana Jones movies are about mystery and adventure, but they’re also about heart…I’m really, really happy that we have a really human story to tell, as well as a movie that will kick your ass”.

The Feature is directed by James Mangold (Logan) and written by Jez Butterworth, John-Henry Butterworth and Mangold. The Dial of Destiny counts with a large cast of talented actors including Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Antonio Banderas, John Rhys-Davies, Shaunette Renee Wilson, Thomas Kretschmann and Mads Mikkelsen. John Williams will return to be in charge of the score as he has been for the past 4 Indiana Jones’ Films. His famous theme for the film can be heard along with the new trailer.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny will premiere in theaters on June 30, 2023. You can watch the trailer here!
