Here’s the Extended TV Spot for New James Bond Film ‘Spectre’

The first trailer for Spectre, director Sam Mendes‘ (American Beauty) second 007 effort, was an effective preview, if only because it patiently and teasingly built up an intriguing storyline highlighting James Bond’s cryptic past. Still, the trailer had one glaring omission, something that is normally a staple of traditional Bond film marketing: action. The new extended TV spot, however, looks to rectify this by offering up a slew of spectacular and promising Bond action sequences with a little added romance to boot.

The spot starts off very similarly to the first trailer, with the initial set-up focusing on the uncovering of one of Bond’s long-held secrets by his assistant Moneypenny—played by Naomi Harris (Miami Vice)—which brings our hero to showdown with the shadowy figure of Franz Oberhauser, played by Christoph Waltz (Django Unchained). However, from there, we’re teased with a montage of action set pieces involving shootouts, car chases, and plane crashes. We also get to see the two newest Bond girls in Lea Seydoux (Blue is the Warmest Color) and Monica Bellucci (Matrix Reloaded).

Spectre is the twenty-fourth installment in the James Bond franchise. The film stars Daniel Craig (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo) as Bond, with supporting turns by Ralph Fiennes (The Grand Budapest Hotel), Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy), Ben Whishaw (Paddington), as well as the aforementioned Harris, Seydoux, Bellucci, and Waltz.

Sony Pictures has given Spectre a November 6th release.
