First Teaser Trailer for ‘Kingsman’ Prequel ‘The King’s Man’

The teaser trailer for The King’s Man, prequel to the first two Kingsman films, has just been released. The film’s teaser hints at the story behind the formation of the original Kingsman group. The story will focus on all of the villains in the world’s history coming together to kill millions of people in a war and it is up to Ralph Fiennes’ character The Earl of Oxford and his protégé Conrad (Harris Dickinson) to stop them, which leads to the formation of the Kingsmen.

The film stars Ralph FiennesGemma Arterton, Rhys Ifans, Matthew Goode, Tom Hollander, Harris Dickinson, Daniel Brühl, Djimon Hounsou and Charles Dance. Colin Firth and Taron Egerton will not appear in the prequel. Matthew Vaughn, who directed both Kingsman: The Secret Service and Kingsman: The Golden Circle also directs the prequel. Karl Gajdusek will serve as the screenwriter of The King’s Man.

In total, the series of films has made $825M worldwide. The first film was released in 2015 and made over $414M at the box office while the second installment was released in 2017 and made $410M. On Rotten Tomatoes, The Secret Service is Certified Fresh at 74% while The Golden Circle holds a score of 52%.

The King’s Man will be released in the United States by Twentieth Century Fox on February 14, 2020.
