Dave Bautista Joins Daniel Craig in ‘Knives Out 2’

Great news has come out about the sequel to Knives Out. Sources told Deadline that Dave Bautista is the latest addition to join Rian Johnson’s upcoming sequel with Daniel Craig reprising his role as Detective Benoit Blanc.

Netflix recently has acquired the rights to the installment in a historic transaction. In March, Deadline first reported that Netflix had reached an agreement worth more than $400 million to make the next two installments, a record-breaking sum for a streaming service. Johnson will be back to direct and write and produce with partner Ram Bergman.

Other than Craig returning to solve another mystery, the sequel’s plot is still being kept under wraps. Production is expected to begin in Greece this summer. There is no word yet on the character Bautista will play either.

Bautista is expected to reprise his role as Drax in the Marvel films Thor Love And Thunder that he finished filming and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. III. Bautista recently announced on Twitter that the third film in Guardians of the Galaxy would be the last film with him in the role of Drax. James Gunn, the director behind the Guardians film, disagreed with the announcement saying Bautista is the only actor that could play Drax.

Netflix has not made any comments regarding the casting of Bautista in the sequel to Knives Out.

I did attend Long Beach City College for a couple of years, I then transferred to CSULB in 2019. I want to write something outside the normal, something no one would think to write about in a unique way. It also shows how far I am willing to go to produce something amazing that will get more readers interested in the world of Journalism. I am on my way to making a professional life for myself.
