Check Out the Latest Full Trailer for ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn For Justice’

On Monday night, Warner Bros. and DC Comics offered a tense little sliver of what to expect in next years’ highly anticipated Batman v Superman: Dawn for Justice. That, of course, was just an appetizer for the main dish served late Wednesday evening as a new full trailer was unveiled on Jimmy Kimmel Live. The big surprise of the trailer- the reveal of Doomsday, the legendary foe of Superman who in the comics famously once killed the Man of Steel.

Furthermore, the latest trailer seems to posit Lex Luthor (The Social Network‘s Jesse Eisenberg) as the catalyst for as Clark Kent (Henry Cavill) and Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) encounter a meet-awkward at an event hosted by Supes most famous rival. The actions looks quite tense indeed.

Zack Snyder returns to the directors chair following his stint behind the camera on the 2013 blockbuster Man of Steel. Oscar winning scribe Chris Terrio (Argo) and David S. Goyer (Man of Steel) penned the screenplay which will pull quite few strings in attempting to put forward a concrete cinematic universe for the comic book giant. The massive ensemble cast brings back Man of Steel vets Amy Adams (as Lois Lane), Diane Lane (as Martha Kent) as well as Laurence Fishburne (as Perry White). Newcomers- aside from Affleck and Eisenberg- include Gal Gadot (as Wonder Woman), Jason Momoa (as Aquaman), Jeremy Irons (as Alfred) as well as Oscar winner Holly Hunter.

The big reveal- aside from Doomsday’s cameo- may just be the money shot at the end of the trailer that finds Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman all in the shot. Batman v Superman: Dawn for Justice opens in theaters on March 25, 2016.
