Brothers Casey and Colin Jost to Write Untitled Live-Action ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ for Paramount

As Raphael likes to say, Cowabunga! After an Emmy nomination for his writing on Saturday Night Live, Colin Jost is expanding his work in the film along with his brother Casey Jost.

Deadline confirmed the news that Paramount Pictures hired Colin and Casey Jost to co-write a brand new untitled live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

According to Deadline, the live-action film will be different from the CGI-animation feature produced by Seth Rogen for Paramount and Nickelodeon.

All the way back in 1984, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were born as a comic book and throughout the years since expanded to include multiple animated TV shows, a live-action film franchise, and a Michael Bay reboot series that came out in the 2010s. The films have made over $1.2 billion at the global box office.

Since the film is still new, its early stages of development, narrative elements are being kept under lock and key.

Colin Jost is set to also co-write and star in the Worst Man for Universal. He can be most recently seen in Warner Bros. live-action/animation Tom & Jerry and Amazon Original Coming 2 America. He even has a memoir, A Very Punchable Face which came out in July of last year.

Colin Jost is also set to return for the next season Saturday Night Live.

Cassandra Reichelt: I graduated from California State University of Long Beach in Spring 2021 with a degree in Journalism major. I did attend Long Beach City College for a couple of years, I then transferred to CSULB in 2019. I want to write something outside the normal, something no one would think to write about in a unique way. It also shows how far I am willing to go to produce something amazing that will get more readers interested in the world of Journalism. I am on my way to making a professional life for myself.
