Rob Zombie is currently working on a movie adaptation of the popular 1960’s television sitcom The Munsters. According to Movie Web some new exciting details about the movie have just been revealed.
For people who are unfamiliar with the original show The Munsters followed the story of the Munster family. The family consists of the patriarch Herman Munster who was once Frankenstein’s monster, his vampire wife Lily, their werewolf son Eddie, Lily’s vampire father Grandpa, and Lily’s human niece Marilyn. The Munster live in their iconic house located on 1313 Mockingbird Lane. As monsters the Munsters try to navigate typical American life in 60’s.
Many of the character’s costume designs were posted on Rob Zombie’s official instagram account. The images reveal some possible designs that are being considered for the costumes of the characters Herman and Lily. Zombie also posted some blueprint sketches of the Munsters house, 1313 Mockingbird Lane.
As of right now not much is known about the movie, but these designs show that progress on the movie is being made. Also rumors have been circulating that Sheri Moon Zombie will be playing Lily Munster the vampire and that Kevin Nash of WWE fame is interested in playing Herman Munster. However no official casting has been confirmed at this time.
