Zach Galifianakis Set To Star In ‘Lilo and Stitch’ Live-Action Adaptation

Comedian Zach Galifianakis is going to star in the Live action remake of beloved Lilo & Stitch, but no details have been released yet. The cast is not decided yet for Lilo and her Sister, while Stitch will be made through CG.

Dean Fleischer Camp will direct the film, whose behind the academy award nominee Marcel the Shell With Shoes On. Lilo & Stitch is set to be released on Disney+.

Most of the Live-action adaptations Disney has made staying true to the original storyline so we can expect the same with this adaptation. Chris Kekaniokalani Bright wrote the script for the live-action. Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois authored the original animation script. With time Stitch has become an iconic and loved character in pop culture.

Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich are producing the film, with Ryan Halprin executive producing.

Galifianakis became well-known for the Hangover franchise and mainly worked in comedies. His last release was 2018’s A Wrinkle in Time. After that, the actor focused more on television: He co-created and performed in Baskets. Besides Lilo & Stitch, he also has two other films in the works: one is Beanie Bubble, and the other is a drama named Winner and directed by Susanna Fogel.
