Will Forte Comments On Ill Fate Of ‘Coyote Vs. Acme’

The fate of Warner Bros. Looney Tunes film Coyote Vs. Acme has been the subject of many headlines within the past few months, from the film’s cancellation to it being shopped around by different production companies. Star of the film, Will Forte, has recently commented on the ill fate the movie now faces.

The film, following Wile E. Coyote suing product company Acme for their consistently failing products, was canceled by Warner Discovery, similarly to the cancellation of Batgirl and Scoob! Holiday Haunt.

Following word of the film, many made their distaste with Warner’s choice well known. Coyote Vs. Acme was shopped around to other studios, but none were willing to meet the price of $70 million that Warner Bros. put forward.

Deadline reported that the last time they heard from Warner Bros., the status of the film was not set in stone, but Forte does not hold a sense of optimism, saying on Instagram that it doesn’t seem like the movie will see the light of day.

Forte said in his post, “As the credits rolled, I just sat there thinking how lucky I was to be a part of something so special. That quickly turned to confusion and frustration. This was the movie they’re not going to release?”

He continued, “You would be so proud of it — a movie that should be seen, but won’t. Please know that all the years and years of hard work, dedication and love that you put into this movie shows in every frame. That’s all folks, Will Forte.”

Forte’s post will be linked below.
