Warner Brothers Searches for Director for ‘Coyote vs. Acme’

Warner Brother has just revealed their plans to create a new film about two very popular Loony Toons characters. According to ScreenRant, the movie will be called Coyote Vs. Acme and will star the ever determined Wile E. Coyote and his speedy nemesis the Road Runner.

Variety reports that Chris McKay (The Lego Batman Movie), Jon Silberman, and Josh Silberman will be serving as the producers on this film. Warner Brothers has also asked Dave Green, best known for directing 2016’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, to serve as the film’s director. As of right now Coyote Vs. Acme does not have a writer nor a cast list. However, since Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner are well known for being mute, they probably won’t have voice actors.

Not much is currently known about Coyote Vs. Acme except that it will be a hybrid of live action and animation. It’s unknown if the movie will be a combination of traditional animation and live-action like a previous Loony Tunes movie Looney Toons: Back in Action, as well as the cinematic “masterpiece” Space Jam, or if it will use CGI instead. Both Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner have recently appeared in some 3D animated shorts, so both options are possible.
