The Park is Open Again! ‘Jurassic Park’ Returns to Theaters for Its 25th Anniversary!

A child’s dream to witness a realistic dinosaur walking around came to life when Steven Spielberg and his team made Jurassic Park. Released in the summer of 1993, Jurassic Park became not only the highest-grossing film of that year, but also the highest grossing of all time. It held that record for four years until Titanic released in 1997. Based on the Michael Crichton novel of the same name, it told the story of how scientists brought dinosaurs back to life, filling nature preserve with the creatures for the amusement of the pubic and the profitability of a corporation. Chronicling the first interaction between modern humans and dinosaurs, both the book and movie found major success, spawning numerous sequels including Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, which released this year.

To honor the film’s 25th Anniversary, Jurassic Park will roar back to the big screen! Whether you’ve seen the film numerous times, want to experience it at the theater, or if you want to bring others who’ve never seen the film, here’s your chance. Jurassic Park will play for three days; September 16, 18, and 19 are the specified days.

Don’t forget your ironic dino T-shirt, oversized velociraptor mask, and all of your friends (as snacks for the dinosaurs) as you experience the ultimate thrill ride with Jurassic Park on the big screen. You can read our coverage of the 25th Anniversary here.

Rick Rice: A kid at heart who has loved watching movies from a very young age. Credit must be given to Siskel and Ebert whose film reviews educated me on the world of film inspired me to become a writer myself. I love to read books that range from various topics, copious amounts of research is something that excites me and of course sitting in a movie theater is a highlight of my life. When I'm not watching movies or reading I enjoy listening to foreign music and working hard on finishing my short stories. Currently working on my degree in English with a plan to enroll into Film School with the dream of becoming a screenwriter and director.
