A new biopic movie in a long line of biopics highlighting history’s movers and shakers will be coming out soon. This movie will be called King Richard, and it will be about Richard Williams, who is the father and tennis coach of tennis champions Serena and Venus Williams. The trailer for this movie has just been released. According to Movie Web Warner Brothers will be releasing King Richard both in movie theaters and on the streaming service HBO Max on November 19.
In the movie actor Will Smith be playing Richard Williams. Actress Aunjanue Ellis will be playing Oracene Price, who is Richard’s ex-wife the mother of the sisters. Price is of course a tennis coach in her own right, and she was also involved in training her daughters as well. Also Serena will be played by Saniyya Sidney and Venus is being played by Demi Singleton.
Will Smith also serves as an executive producer alongside his wife Jada Pinkett Smith. Other producers include Isha Price, James Lassiter, Adam Merims, Lynn Harris, Allan Mandelbaum, Jon Mone and Peter Dodd. The sisters Serena Williams and Venus Williams also served as produces on the movie too.
The movie’s director is Reinaldo Marcus Green, and the script was written by Zach Baylin. The movie’s producers are Tim White and Trevor White.
