Screen Media Acquires Cannes Thriller ‘Sugar Mountain’ With Jason Momoa and Cary Elwes

Screen Media Ventures announced that they have bought the rights to Sugar Mountain starring Game of ThronesJason Momoa and The Princess Bride‘s Cary Elwes.

The thriller recently premiered at the Cannes Film Market and is centered around two brothers deeply in debt who fake their disappearance in the Alaska wilderness. However, just like Into the Wild, the brothers may have signed up for more than they expected.

Director Richard Gray is very excited about the audiences seeing the movie: “Filming in a place like Alaska with such a talented cast was a dream come true. The screenplay really sung and the shoot itself was such an adventure, stunning yet brutal, we’re very excited to show it off.”

Sugar Mountain will be released in the fall in theaters and VOD in North America.
