We’re all anxious for December to be here, not just for cooler weather and holiday fun, but because the first Star Wars story will grace theaters! While Rogue One isn’t scheduled to arrive until December 16, an updated trailer was released in Japan featuring some additional scenes.
The trailer reveals more detail as to how the Rebels, lead by Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones), learned about the Death Star. The battlefield in Rogue One looks grittier than the preceding Star Wars action scenes. It looks as if this film captures the hard-fought war on the ground between the Rebels and Galactic Empire soldiers – it can’t always be Jedis. Last, but not least, the international trailer gives us Darth Vader! Anakin Skywalker’s evil persona returns to rule his empire. It’s still uncertain how much of an active role Lord Vader will play in Rogue One, however we’re only a few months away until we actually find out.
