Plot Details Revealed For New Tarantino Film, Will Not Focus On Manson Murders

Quentin Tarantino has kept pretty tight-lipped about the details of his new film that is supposedly coming in 2019. What we and many other sources were led to believe has now proven to be not entirely correct. While the film will have Charles Manson and the Manson murders in the film, it will not be the focus of the film, instead serving as a sort of background noise to the story, according to Indiewire.

The film will instead focus on a young Hollywood actor in 1969 who has had one successful series, but is trying to focus on entering the film business. His partner, who happens to be his stunt double, is also looking to join the film business. How these two interact in their attempts to further their careers should play out in an entertaining way. While this main story occurs, the Manson cult and the subsequent murders will serve as a subplot.

Currently, there are rumors surrounding the main character being played by Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise or Leonardo DiCaprio while Margot Robbie is apparently being tapped to play Sharon Tate, one of the first victims of the Manson Family murders. If Pitt or Cruise join, this will be their first time working with Tarantino. DiCaprio previously worked with the director on Django Unchained. If he and Robbie are both cast, the film will feature the pair’s reunion after starring together in The Wolf of Wall Street.
