Pete Davidson to Star in ‘Big Time Adolescence’

Pete Davidson, the Saturday Night Live cast member best known for his honest and self-deprecating humor, will officially star in Big Time Adolescence.

Script writer Jason Orley will make his debut as director of the coming-of-age drama.

As far as the plot goes, Davidson will portray the high school best friend of the main character. Though charismatic, Davidson’s college dropout character leads his friend through destructive decisions while they’re both trapped in their boring, small town.

Starring alongside Davidson are Griffin Gluck, Sydney Sweeney, Machine Gun Kelly, Thomas Barbusca, Emily Arlook, and Oona Lawrence.

According to an article by Variety, Orley stated the following about his excitement about the script and his new cast member: “This is a story I’ve wanted to tell for a very long time, and I am so unbelievably grateful to the team at American High for giving me the chance to bring it to life. I also couldn’t think of a better partner than Pete Davidson to lead our incredible cast.”

The film will begin shooting in July, and those producing the film include Will Phelps, Glen Trotiner, Mason Novick, and Jeremy Garelick.

This is American High‘s fourth feature film.
