With the awards season now in full swing, and in the wake of the Golden Globes occurring last weekend, the nominations for the Screen Actors Guild Awards have been released. 

The announcement of the awards, however, had to occur unusually in comparison to years prior. Hollywood Reporter points out that rather than announce the nominations in person, a press release was done to announce them instead, due to Los Angeles dealing with wildfires throughout the area. 

Hollywood Reporter posted the full nominee list as well, including television categories.

For Male Actor in a Leading Role, the SAG Awards selected Adrien Brody for The Brutalist, Timothée Chalamet for A Complete Unknown, Daniel Craig for Queer, Colman Domingo for Sing Sing, and Ralph Fiennes for Conclave. Last year. The award went to Cillian Murphy last year for his role in Oppenheimer. 

Looking at Male Actor in a Supporting Role, Johnathan Bailey for Wicked, Yura Borisov for Anora, Kieran Culkin for A Real Pain, Edward Norton for A Complete Unknown, and Jeremy Strong for The Apprentice have all been chosen as nominees. Similarly, last year also went to Oppenheimer for Robert Downey Jr.’s role. 

Nominated for Female Actor in Leading Role is Pamela Anderson of The Last Showgirl, Cynthia Erivo of Wicked, Karla Sofía Gascón of Emilia Pérez, Mikey Madison of Anora, and Demi Moore of The Substance. The award went to Lily Gladstone for Killers Of The Flower Moon last year. 

For Female Actor in a Supporting Role, last year’s winner was  The Holdvers’ Da’Vine Joy Randolph. Monica Barbaro for A Complete Unknown, Jamie Lee Curtis for The Last Showgirl, Danielle Deadwyler for The Piano Lesson, Ariana Grande for Wicked, and Zoe Saldaña for Emilia Pérez have all been nominated this year. 

Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble has selected Deadpool & Wolverine, Dune: Part Two, The Fall Guy, Gladiator II, and Wicked for nominations, with the 2024 award going to Mission: Impossible- Dead Reckoning Part One. 

Finally, the nominees for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture include A Complete Unknown, Anora, Conclave, Emilia Pérez, and Wicked. 

The SAG Awards will take place on February 23rd at the Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles. The event will stream live on Netflix.
