New ‘Cloverfield’ Sequel Pushes back the Release Date

The third film in the Cloverfield franchise is said to be delayed in its opening by two months from its previous February 2nd release this year; this is its fourth delay total.  The J.J. Abrams film, known by many as God Particle, is currently going through some new reworking. It turns out that that Abrams, known for his work in shows like Lost and films the Star Wars: The Force Awakens, may be undertaking some major rewriting and reshooting.

As of now, the documented information about the plot of the current sequel will involve team of astronauts and an unexpected occurrence that happens as they work their job, though it’s entirely possible that this will not translate to the final product considering Abrams’ new work.

So far the release date for the sequel is set at April 20, 2018.  Stay tuned for more updates as they are announced.
