Netflix to Develop Rick Riordan’s ‘Kane Chronicles’ Book Series into Films

Rick Riordan, best known for his best-selling series Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, has another best-selling series called The Kane Chronicles. It has just been announced that Netflix is adapting the book series into films. Rick Riordan took to social media to share his exciting news with his fans.

On Riordan’s social media account Twitter and Instagram, and his website, he revealed his news. “We have been working on this deal since last October, and about the same time, we started working on Percy, and I am so glad I can now announce it! That’s all I can say for the moment but stay tuned.”

Instead of going through the journey of Greek Mythology with Percy Jackson in the modern world, The Kane Chronicles takes readers on a journey through Egyptian Mythology in the contemporary world with Sadie and Carter Kane. The book series takes place in the same universe as Riordan’s other book series Camp Half-Blood Chronicles and Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard.

The Kane Chronicles are a three-book series, “The Red Pyramid,” “The Throne of Fire,” and “The Serpent’s Shadow,” more news about the adaption has yet to be revealed.

The adaptation of both the Percy Jackson series by Disney+ and The Kane Chronicles by Netflix will make fans of Riordan very excited for what’s to come next.
