Mads Mikkelsen Will Play Villain in ‘Chaos Walking’

Mads Mikkelsen will be joining the impressive cast of the science fiction film, Chaos Walking, where he will act as the villain. It seems like Mikkelsen has found his niche in complicated characters who often drive the tension in the story, a career choice which has been characteristic of the actor since at least 2006, where he played Bond villain Le Chiffre in Casino Royale.

Mikkelsen has tried to make interesting career choices, ranging from a Rihanna music video, to a voice acting role in Death Stranding by Kojima Productions or a complicated killer in the TV series Hannibal, to big scale franchises like Marvel and Star Wars. This time, he will be playing a mayor who is not content with the power he possesses, driving him to pursue even more control.

Doug Liman (The Bourne IdentityEdge of Tomorrow) will direct Mikkelsen, as well as two other young stars who are beginning to make their mark in Hollywood: Daisy Ridley and Tom Holland. Holland and Ridley will play characters trying to find a solution to the devastating virus which has wracked the planet.

Mikkelsen has another project promised to come out before the 2019 debut of Chaos Walking. He will be acting in a film called Arctic, which seems to be a production with a sparse cast, leaving the actor with plenty of screen time to excite fans.
