Way way back in the 90’s, director Stephen Spielberg made a little movie called Jurassic Park. In that film, eccentric billionaire Jon Hammond invited three of the world’s greatest scientists, played by Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum to tour his dinosaur theme park, where things naturally go awry. Jurassic Park launched a lucrative franchise spanning video games, toys, two direct sequels and the Jurassic World reboot movies.
Now Jurassic World 3,the sixth movie in this series, is entering production and the filmmakers have announced that the original Spielberg trio of Dern, Neill, and Goldblum are all returning to face off against the dinosaurs once more. Jurassic World 3 will not be the first time these actors have returned to the franchise, but it will be the first movie since the original Jurassic Park movie that all three of them have appeared in together.
Jeff Goldblum, who played Dr. Ian Malcom, was also the star of the first sequel The Lost World: Jurassic Park and appeared briefly in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Both Neill, who portrayed Dr. Alan Grant, and Dern, who played Dr. Ellie Sattler, were in Jurassic Park III.
