Laika Studios Releases Final Trailer For ‘Wildwood’

The final trailer for Laika Studios film Wildwood has been released. The trailer begins with Peyton Elizabeth Lee’s (Andi Mack) character, Prue Mckeel, sitting at in front of two men with confused looks on their face. She tells the two men, “Should I go through it again?” and the screen cuts to black, followed by her riding her brother Mac through the street on a bike. The next scene her brother Mac is taken by crows, setting up the plot of the movie. Prue is then shown approaching a dark forest when the character Curtis Mehlberg, voiced by Jacob Tremblay (Luca), tells her “that’s the impassable wilderness,” and she tells him, “my brother is in here somewhere and I’m going to find him.” The Woods by Sam fermin begins to play as Prue starts exploring the woods and entering a castle. The trailer then introduces Carey Mulligan’s (Drive) character Alexandra, as she tells Prue, “An outsider child… How beautiful you are.”

Text that reads “from the hands that brought you Coraline,” appears with clips of wolves in military uniforms preparing for battle in the background. The same wolves are shown chasing Prue and Curtis through a part of the woods, followed with more clips of Prue navigating this new world she has entered with hints of her having magical powers.

The movie is set to release October 23rd of this year.
