Actress and producer Kate Mara, best known for her role in Netflix’s House of Cards, has signed with CAA as her representation. Mara has recently been executive producing and starring in the FX limited series A Teacher alongside Nick Robinson. The series was adapted by Hannah Fidell from her 2013 film, which won the Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best New Scripted Series.
She was a series regular on Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story and is starring in the first season of Murphy’s new FX show Pose. Mara also starred in Entourage and 24.
On the film side of her career, Mara starred opposite Matt Damon and Jessica Chastain in Ridley Scott’s The Martian, based on the novel by Andy Weir. She was also seen in Danny Boyle’s 127 Hours, Ang Lee’s Brokeback Mountain, and McG’s We Are Marshall.
