Jason Alexander to Star In Indie Comedy “Faith Based”

Seinfeld‘s Jason Alexander has become the latest addition to the cast of an upcoming satirical film entitled Faith Based, which will be directed by Vincent Masciale and written by Luke Barnett.

According to Deadline, the film is a satire of the Christian film industry and follows Funny or Die cast members Barnett and Tanner Thomason, who, upon discovering that all faith- oriented films are highly lucrative,decide to create a film of their own. The film is currently in production with filming set in Los Angeles.

Alexander has proven to be a comedic dynamo in the past couple years. The actor and comedian has achieved numerous Emmy nominations during the 1990’s years for his portrayal of George Costanza in Larry David’s long-revered sitcom series Seinfeld. Alexander will take on the role of Nicky Steele in Faith Based, the energetic owner of a weight loss tea pyramid scheme sho serves as a personal idol to Barnett’s character.

In addition to Alexander, Faith Based‘s cast currently includes Lance Reddick, Danielle Nicolet, Carly Craig, Danny Woodburn, and Christoph Sanders. Alexander’s recent acting credits include roles on The Orville and Young Sheldon. The actor is currently represented by Yumkas Entertainment, Innovative Artists, and Gendler-Kelly. The film’s release date and further information is currently unknown.
