Hosts for 2019’s Golden Globes and Oscars Announced

The nominees for the 2019 Golden Globes have already been announced, but that’s not the only big news about the upcoming award show. Recently Deadline revealed that actors Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh will be cohosting the 2019 Golden Globes. Both stars have won Golden Globes in the past. Samberg won his award for Brooklyn 99, while Oh received hers for her performance on Grey’s Anatomy. It has been noted that this will be the second time in Golden Globes’ history that the award show will be hosted by more than one person, the last time being the multiple year stretch of Amy Poehler and Tina Fey. Last year both Samberg and Oh presented the award for best directing, so the two have experience playing off each other.

But the Golden Globes aren’t the only big news this week, because it was announced on Deadline that Kevin Hart will be hosting the 2019 Oscars. The comedian posted on Instagram confirming his involvement. Hart mentions that hosting the Oscars has been a dream of his for a long time. With his comedic talent the Oscars are sure to be a memorable night.

The Golden Globes will air live on NBC on January 6. The Oscar ceremony is set for February 24 on ABC.
