‘Home Economics’ Star Jimmy Tatro Joins Bert Kreischer and Mark Hamill in Legendary’s ‘The Machine’

Deadline has learned that Home Economics (renewed for second season) star Jimmy Tatro has his next big project in the upcoming film The Machine, based on Bert Kreischer‘s hit viral story. Kreischer will also star with Mark Hamill joining the film as well.

Peter Atencio (Keanu) is set to direct the feature that was written by Kevin Biegel (Cougar Town) and Scotty Landes (Ma).

The film is described as if The Hangover and Midnight Run had a baby and named it The Machine.

The Machine is a genre-bending comedy that was inspired by Kreischer’s real-life exploits and subsequent breakout stand-up routine called The Machine, which has garnered over 85 million views.

The action-comedy follows Bert as his past resurfaces when he and his father are abducted by those he had wronged while drunk on a college semester abroad in Russia 20 years ago.

Tatro has completed the comedy Action #1 about a comic book store owner who gathers five brilliant and equally geeky staff to pull off the heist of a lifetime: stealing Nicholas Cage’s most precious comic and holding it for ransom. He also finished lending his voice to animation and comedy Rumble about monster wrestling that is expected to be released on Feb 18, 2022.

The Machine is currently in production.
