Rachel Weisz and Colin Farrell Comedy ‘Love Child’ Launches Sale at Cannes Virtual Market

Rachel Weisz and Colin Farrell are reuniting as couple in an upcoming film entitled Love Child. The duo starred together in Yorgos Lathimos’ 2015 film The Lobster.

Love Child will be written and directed by Todd Solondz who has previously done so in such films as 1998’s Happiness as well as 2011’s Dark Horse. Sources say that the story will be a dark comedic twist on the Oedipus myth. Wherein a child schemes to separate his mother and father for his own plans.

The flick seems like a good step for Solondz and reunites Rachel Weisz and Colin Farrell in a similarly twisted comedy to their first film together, The Lobster. Currently, the film is looking for a buyer at the Cannes virtual market, which it certainly will find.

Weisz and Farrell have a share of big projects as well as smaller projects down the line. Love Child might fall in the latter section, but in July Weisz will finally star in Black Widow, while in 2022, Farrell will play the Penguin in the upcoming The Batman film. Both actors of versatile enough to balance both, and this project is certainly one to look out for.

There is no set timeline for the project as of now.
