Director of Oscar winning Godzilla: Minus One, Takashi Yamazaki, will be directing 20th Century Studios’ Nue. He will be working alongside Ridley Scott (Aliens) and Scott’s production company Scott Free. In an article by What’s On Disney Plus, Yamazaki is stated saying, “Nue has been a lifelong dream of mine. I am honored to have the opportunity to make it happen with the creative brilliance of Ridley Scott and Scott Free and the fantastic team at 20th Century Studios. I will do my upmost to ensure this becomes a fantastic movie for all to see.”
Nothing yet is confirmed about what the movie is set to be about or who is to star in it. Yamazaki’s Godzilla: Minus One won the Oscar for Best Visual Achievement in Visual Effects back in 2024 and was the first time a movie in the franchise received one.
