Actor Daniel Craig, famous for his role as James Bond in the 007 film series has taken the role of Detective Benoit Blanc in the film Knives Out. Craig now returns for the role in the sequel Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery written and directed by Rian Johnson.
The trailer for Glass Onion presents Miles Bron played by Edward Norton disclosing a new murder. Norton’ character brings his friends to his private island to host a mystery murder party. After his friends arrive to the island, things begin to go downhill.
Johnson describes Craig’s work as Benoit Blanc as extraordinary. Johnson reveals that Craig’s character will have a more developed role in the Knives Out sequel. The Hollywood Reporter writes how Johnson told Tudum that “he hopes Benoit will have a “long list” of cases to come, hinting at continuing the franchise.”
There’s no doubt that the public wants more mysteries and Daniel Craig as a detective. Netflix will be releasing Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery on December 23. Netflix will also allow 600 theatres to screen the movie on November 23.
