Check Out the New Trailer for Tarantino’s ‘The Hateful Eight’

The first trailer for Quentin Tarantino‘s (Django Unchained) long-awaited holiday release The Hateful Eight has surfaced, and from the looks of it die-hard fans of the writer/director can plan on very Merry Christmas indeed! The film features a group of bounty hunters (and one bounty) stranded together in a blizzard with a very extreme case of cabin fever.  The all-star cast includes Samuel L. Jackson (Avengers: Age of Ultron), Kurt Russell (Furious 7), Tim Roth (Selma), Walton Goggins (TV’s Justified), Demian Bichir (A Better Life), Bruce Dern (Nebraska) and Michael Madson (Kill Bill) as part of group of travelers forced to coexist, though not all their motives for being there may be what they seem.  Channing Tatum (Magic Mike XXL) and Jennifer Jason Leigh (Welcome to Me) round out the cast.

When the action leaves the cabin, the film’s sweeping vistas are glorious to behold which will certainly be enhanced by the fact that film will play in 70mm.

In an homage to the spaghetti westerns that have proven to have a deep influence on Tarantino’s work, the director has tapped legendary award-winning composer Ennio Morricone (The Good, The Bad and The Ugly) to pen the score. While Tarantino has used the composer’s work on previous films, this will be the first full original score that Morricone has written for a Tarantino project.

The Hateful Eight premieres in limited release on Christmas Day, going wide on January 8th.  Check out the trailer below.
