While Warner Bros. is getting plenty of discussion in pop culture, especially with the recent release of the first live action DCEU Justice League film, they also have another new movie worth talking about: Smallfoot, where Channing Tatum (21 Jump Street) stars as an animated Yeti. He lives in the mountains with others of his species, relatively undisturbed, though not for long.
Smallfoot has a cast filled with big names, which will surely help bring plenty of life to the movie. Tatum will be acting alongside Gina Rodriguez (Jane the Virgin), Zendaya (Spiderman: Homecoming), Danny DeVito (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia), Common (John Wick: Chapter 2), LeBron James (Trainwreck), Yara Shahidi (Black-ish), and James Corden (Into the Woods).
Interestingly enough, Smallfoot is not the only movie coming out soon with a focus on cryptid creatures like the Yeti. Michael Shannon will also be playing a man mistaken for Bigfoot the upcoming holiday comedy, Pottersville, causing plenty of chaos and media attention in his normally tranquil town.

Though Smallfoot seems very much like the perfect movie for the holiday season, it will be released a little earlier than that time of year. Instead, it will start appearing in theaters on September 28, 2018.
