Alex Gibney’s ‘Musk’ Moves Release Date A Week Earlier

The documentary about Elon Musk, titled Musk, is set to release October 9th instead of the 19th like originally planned.

The movie will release in Los Angeles and New York first before it goes nationwide. Musk, directed by Alex Gibney (Taxi to the Dark Side), had its first North American premiere at the Toronto Film Festival today, with a run time of three hours and 45 minutes. It was first shown at the Venice film festival where Gibney made the statement about the film,’s run time ,”We intended to make a shorter film before Musk became wrapped in the career of Donald Trump and the United States.” According to Variety, Gibney stated that the documentary follows  “the story of the tech titan as the 21st century reincarnation of the confidence man.”

The documentary doesn’t feature Musk’s participation but features interviews from ex-wives, his father, and people from the tech industry. Alicia St Clair, the mother of Elon’s 13th child Romulus, participated in the documentary and admitted at the Venice Film Festival—she refused to sign a 40 million dollar non-disclosure agreement (NDA) after giving birth to Romulus.

Musk has already gone to X to post his thoughts on the documentary and Gibney, stating, “Dogshit is worth more respect than Gibney.”
