The cast of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day got together Wednesday at a press event for the upcoming superhero feature, and Zendaya made quite the fashion statement. The actress is no stranger to method dressing when it comes to promoting her projects, from Dune to Challengers, Zendaya and longtime stylist/friend Law Roach have used fashion as an extension of film marketing and storytelling.
At a photocall for Brand New Day in Paris, Zendaya attended the event wearing an oversized vintage Spider-Man T-shirt, styled with a pair of Louboutin heels and nothing else. Roach took to social media to explain “Style doesn’t always have to cost a fortune.” He also attached a screenshot of the eBay listing where the vintage piece was sourced from: a 2XL black T-shirt with a red Spider-Man silhouette decal on front, described on the site to be in “good, pre-owned” condition. Zendaya rocked the shirt as a dress at the photocall where she and the rest of the cast posed for photos and press opportunities.
Zendaya will star alongside husband and longtime co-star Tom Holland in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, in theaters July 31. She will also be seen this year in Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey (also starring Holland) and Dune: Part Three, where she will have plenty of opportunity to continue her streak of curated method dressing.
