Zack Snyder Teases His Justice League Cut with Violent Steppenwolf Clip

A new clip from Zack Snyder’s Justice League has been teased showcasing brutal brawl between Steppenwolf and the Amazons. The video, which seems to be taken from the editing bay, shows a clip of the villain striking down one Amazonian with his electro axe and then flinging two others, along with their horses, into the dirt.

It was recently confirmed that the highly-anticipated 4-hour cut of Justice League would receive an R-rating, which fans seem to be excited for. Fellow DC filmmaker David F. Sandberg, the director of Shazam!, retweeted the clip saying, “I was already going to see it but now there’s Steppenwolf smashing ponies?!” The post was in reference to Sandberg’s youtube channel, Ponysmasher.

This is just the latest tease in a series of teasers leading up to the cut’s release March 18, where it will be free to stream for HBO Max subscribers. Snyder also recently tweeted photo giving us an idea of what Jared Leto will look like reprising his role as the Joker we saw in David Ayer‘s 2016 film, Suicide Squad.

According to Snyder, another trailer for the upcoming cut is set to release next Sunday, so fans may be in for some brand new footage. On August 6, James Gunn‘s take on The Suicide Squad will release, followed by Matt Reeves‘ Robert Pattinson-led The Batman March 4, 2022. Later down the line, we’ll see the release of a Flash film, Aquaman 2 and Shazam: Fury of the Gods. While DC may not have as many projects set up as the competition, fans of the universe still have a lot to look forward to in the coming years.
