Sci-fi horror fans rejoice as the latest installment in the Alien franchise is forthcoming. 20th Century Fox premiered the first trailer for Alien: Covenant, offering an unsettling but welcome Christmas present. This trailer teases the film’s horrors and showcases a few classic hallmarks from the venerable series – looking at you, Facehugger and Xenomorph.
The upcoming installment comes from Ridley Scott, the mastermind behind the first chiller as well as the 2012 prequel Prometheus. The story of the new installment is on par with the originals; as group of astronauts go on an expedition only to come in contact with the deadly alien. Michael Fassbender returns to the fray as the engimatic android David, leading an impressive ensemble cast that also features Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, Jussie Smollett, Callie Hernandez, Nathaniel Dean, Alexander England and Benjamin Rigby.
