IFC Films has just released the trailer for Whitney Cummings’ (The Wedding Ringer) pet project, Female Brain. Cummings directed and produced, as well as starred in the movie, which is based on neuropsychiatrist Louann Brizendine’s book. Cummings worked with Louann Brizendine and Neal Brennan (Get Him to the Greek) to write the script. The ensemble romantic comedy follows a female scientist as she studies the physical and psychological components that define the male and female brains and uses her research results in her everyday interactions.
Female Brain made its world premiere at the Los Angeles Film Festival last June and stars Cecily Strong (Saturday Night Live), Lucy Punch (Into the Woods), James Marsden (Westworld), Sofía Vergara (Modern Family), Jane Seymour (Austenland), Ben Platt (Pitch Perfect), Beanie Feldstein (Lady Bird), and Toby Kebbell (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes).

Female Brain is scheduled to be released on February 9, 2018.
