An official trailer for the upcoming Fantastic Four has been released, and it gives us a good look into the contemporary re-imagining of the Marvel superhero team’s origins. The action centers on a band of outsiders, recruited to be sent into an alternate universe – a journey that unleashes each of their unique super-capabilities.
The Four team in this go-round features Miles Teller (Whiplash) as Mister Fantastic, Kate Mara (Netflix’s House of Cards) as Invisible Woman, Jamie Bell (Snowpiercer) as The Thing, and Michael B. Jordan (the upcoming Rocky spinoff Creed) as Human Torch. Reg E. Cathey (HBO’s The Wire) portrays Dr. Franklin Storm, the visionary scientist who sets the plan in motion.
Josh Trank (attached to the second planned stand-alone Star Wars film) directs from a script by writer-producer Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Days of Future Past). The 20th Century Fox production is set for an August 7, 2015 release. Check out the trailer below.
