Tara Reid and Vivica A. Fox To Star in Upcoming Thriller ‘Masha’s Mushroom’

American Pie actress Tara Reid is teaming up with Kill Bill actress Vivica A. Fox to produce and star in the upcoming suspense thriller Masha’s MushroomDirected by White Cross (Mummy Dearest), the project is produced by Cranial Sacral Productions and was ready to go into productions before the coronavirus hit. Once the U.S. lockdown lifts and studios can reopen again, the project will resume its progress.

Masha’s Mushroom follows a workaholic mother (Reid) who tries to throw the perfect party for her daughter. However, when all the guests are unknowingly drugged, they must figure out what is real and what is a hallucination in order to survive.

Reid made a statement on her upcoming project with Fox, “I’m so excited about producing and making this film. It’s truly gonna be amazing visually and the characters are incredible. I also can’t wait to work with my director and business partner White Cross. It’s also exciting that I’m making another franchise. It’s really great to be on both sides as a producer and actress.”

Reid had been a staple character in the American Pie series but got her big break as Bunny Lebowski in The Big Lebowski. In 2013, she starred in the SyFy TV movie Sharknado, as well as its five sequels. Fox previously who has a role on Empire, previously appeared with Reid in Sharknado 2: The Second One and 2018’s The Last Sharknado: It’s About Time. She’s set to star in the upcoming thriller Arkansas alongside Liams Hemsworth, John Malkovich, and Vince Vaughn.
