Actress Sharon Stone is set to be honored at the Taormina Film Festival. She will be getting the Lifetime Achievement Award.
In front of the camera, Stone has lent her talents to a wide slew of films. Some of the biggest titles featuring her include Casino, Basic Instinct, The Disaster Artist, Last Action Hero, and Total Recall.
Her role in Casino led Stone to being nominated for Best Actress at the 68th Academy Awards. She lost, however, to Susan Sarandon for Dead Man Walking.
Stone has even worked behind the camera, as well. She’s served as producer on a number of works, such as We The People, Romantic Road, and An Undeniable Voice.
Alongside her acceptance, a press release reported that she will also talk about her additions to the landscape of working as an actress in the industry.
As Variety reports, past recipients of the Lifetime Achievement Award, specifically at the Taormina Film Festival, includes Jessica Lange, Sophia Loren, Nicole Kidman, Isabelle Huppert, Robert DeNiro, Tom Cruise, Colin Firth, and Richard Gere.
Variety also pointed out that the Taormina Film Festival will mark the Italian debut of upcoming Twisters, the follow up to Jan de Bont’s 1996 Twister.
The festival will kick off on the 12th of July.
