Stephen Dorff (True Detective) and Blake Jenner (The Edge of Seventeen) are set to star in the action-thriller Paradise City that already stars John Travolta and Bruce Willis. Travolta and Willis will share the screen together for the first time since Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction nearly thirty years ago.
Thai actress Praya Lundberg (Realms) and Paradise City producer Corey Large are also set to star in the film. Large is also a co-writer along with Edward John Drake. Those to have written the script, while Chuck Russell (The Mask) is set to direct the flick.
The film follows renegade bounty hunter Ryan Swan (Willis) as he must navigate the Hawaiian criminal underworld to get retribution on the crime boss (Travolta) who murdered his father.
According to reports, Deadline learned that the project will be similar to Miami Vice, except with bounty hunters instead of cops.
Dorff’s latest film, Embattled, was about a son who desired to follow in his famous MMA father’s footsteps but must first figure out how to end the abusive cycle that his father had created. Dorff has also just finished filming a western action Old Henry about a farmer who takes in a wounded man with a sack of cash. The actor is in high demand.
Jenner is currently filming the comedy musical Merrily We Roll Along, which follows a great Broadway composer who abandons his stage career in New York and his friends to create films in Los Angeles.
Paradise City is currently filming in Maui, Hawaii.
