‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ Projections Eye +$350 Million Opening

The next highly anticipated Marvel film release is just around the corner with opening day this upcoming Tuesday. Spider-Man: Far From Home is the first Marvel film since the release of massive blockbuster and fan-pleaser Avengers: Endgame. It will be hard to live up to expectations after such momentous film event, but it looks like those expectations are still high, as opening worldwide numbers are expected to hit or surpass $350 million.

The first Spider-Man film starring Tom Holland debuted at $257 million, and that was without all global markets. This time around the release will be including China and the other major film markets. Projections are also boosted by the fact that Endgame hype is still not entirely over, as it was recently announced that the film will be rereleased with extended scenes. Time is also on the film’s side, as schools have just begun summer vacation and so younger audiences will have plenty of time to kill at the movie theaters.

Some new characters will be introduced, including Mysterio played by Marvel newcomer Jake Gyllenhaal. Tom Holland, Zendaya, Samuel L. Jackson, Jon Favreau, and more will all be reprising their roles.

Check back as the week goes on to see how the film really fares at the box office and see it in theaters starting this Tuesday July 2.
