Sony Pictures Classics recently acquired distribution rights for current Oscar nominee Dror Moreh’s upcoming film The Human Factor, which will be available to screen in North America, Scandinavia, India, South Africa, Benelux, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia according Deadline. The film takes audiences into a behind-the-scenes story about the previous 25 years of United States history and the unlikely scenario of securing peace between Israel and bordering Middle Eastern countries.
Sony Pictures Classics said after the acquisition of the film rights, “The Human Factor is a seminal movie on one of the most important subjects of our time. It is the movie people are hungering for, this year in particular. It is great to be back in business with Dror Moreh.” There has also been plenty of excitement from the directors and producers as Moreh and Teddy Leifer expressed satisfaction with the deal. “We are very excited to be working with the talented team at Sony Pictures Classics on the release of The Human Factor later this year,” stated Leifer and Moreh about their collaboration.
The aforementioned Moreh was previously nominated for the Best Feature Documentary at the 2013 Oscars for his work on The Gatekeepers. Moreh and Leifer have previously collaborated on two separate films before: Icarus and The Invisible War.
