Skyler Bible Becomes Newest Actor To Join ‘First Man’

Skyler Bible has joined a star-studded cast in a new film titled First Man, which will be a biopic focused around Neil Armstrong, according to Deadline. Bible will be playing Astronaut Richard F. Gordon Jr., an astronaut known for his trip to the moon.

First Man will focus on the life of Neil Armstrong, from his beginnings in the Gemini space program to the eventual famous Apollo 11 mission. There he became the first man to walk the moon, providing one of the most famous quotations by an American: “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.”

Ryan Gosling (Blade Runner 2049, La La Land) will be playing Neil Armstrong alongside Jon Bernthal (Baby Driver, Sicario), Corey Stoll (Ant-Man, The Bourne Legacy), Pablo Schreiber (The Manchurian Candidate, 13 Hours), Kyle Chandler (Manchester by the Sea, Zero Dark Thirty), and Claire Foy (The Crown, Season of the Witch). The film is being directed by Damien Chazelle, who directed Whiplash and is reuniting with Gosling after directing La La Land. The film is set to hit theaters on October 12, 2018.
