Ridley Scott’s ‘All The Money In The World’ Receives First Trailer

If you were a billionaire, would you spend a small fortune to save your grandson? This statement is one of the main questions posed by Ridley Scott‘s new film All the Money in the World, which has just received its first new trailer:

All The Money In The World is based on the true story of John Paul Getty III’s kidnapping in 1973. The grandson of business tycoon J. Paul Getty, Getty III was kidnapped by an Italian mercenary group of sorts and requested a large sum of money from the grandfather. Getty completely denied the original ransom and decided to wait. Gail, the mother of Getty III, begins to work with Getty’s advisor Fletcher in order to convince the tycoon to pay the ransom.

J Paul Getty is being played by Kevin Spacey (House of Cards, Baby Driver), with fantastic supporting cast including Michelle Williams (Manchester By The Sea, Shutter Island) as Gail, Mark Wahlberg (Ted, Deepwater Horizon) as Fletcher, and Charlie Plummer (Granite Flats, King Jack) as John Paul Getty III. Ridley Scott is directing the film, and currently has at least four different projects being released this year, including Alien: Covenant earlier this year, Blade Runner 2049, Murder on the Orient Express, and The Aftermath as producer later this year. All the Money in the World currently holds a release date of January 5, 2018.
